She cooks fresh green beans wrapped like that too but makes a glaze of melted butter, brown sugar, and garlic that she dips them in after they are wrapped. She cooks those of the stove in a skillet.....

I cook the bacon about half way before wrapping the asparagus or beans. Keeps the veggies moister.
