Hmmm...

Ok, the SaladShooter won that. Lotsa fresh ground black pepper, smoked and coarse pink salt. A slice of half cooked bacon plus an egg. Looking like something now.

Bacon grease melting in a hundred year old skillet. There’s magic here...

Half of the tater and bacon on top.

The rest of the taters. Let’s get cooking.

First side done. Made a divot for the egg.

Added the egg, more pepper and smoked salt.

Redneck skillet lid and we’re cooking.

It’s only been a few minutes. Yes, the yolk is still liquid.

Presentation is everything. Broke out the fancy eating fork.

Gotta go now...

If I ate something like that every morning i'd weigh 600 lbs.

Love making what we call potato pancakes. A few potatoes and an onion through the food processor, a little flour, an egg and salt and pepper. Mix all together form patties and fry.

My dad loved them with apple sauce on them, I prefer just a good shot of salt.

Just trying it out, supposed to have good minerals that regular salt does not. Coarse Kosher is my regular salt.

Made with fresh dug potatoes, cooked in hog lard or bacon grease.
