All purpose seaoning mix

I've been using this seasoning mix for 10-12 years, at least. I think I got it from Paula Dean way back before the Liberals and the PC Police took her out! I use it on everything but my corn flakes and my chocolate ice cream.

1 cup Kosher salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder

I pour each ingredient into an empty Parmesan Cheese dispenser, shake it vigorously to get it all blended, and then start applying it to everything. Try it; I think you'll like it!

sounds similar to one I have made up but I included 1/4 onion power also ... then I mixed it well, put in aluminum pie plates spread out really thin and popped into my smoker for about an hour ... smoked all purpose seasoning salt.

I posted my breading mix on here awhile ago. I start with cornstarch and flour.

and you can change the flavor up depending on what type of wood you smoke with. I mainly use live oak and pecan but other fruit woods, like cured peach, pear, plum, etc. really add a nice little sweet touch.

I use equal amounts of salt, black pepper, onion, and garlic powder. Doesn't take much salt to over power things for me.

I am the same way. I prefer a little less salt and more pepper myself.
