I haven't made it since my wife died. She liked macaroni and cheese with it.

Wife makes it with salsa instead of tomato sauce, then with a side salad (for her) and fried okra and baked potatos. Yum Yum!

Tomato sauce and onions with mashed potato's and green beans. Got burned out on it back in early marriage days and did not eat it for a long time. But now do enjoy it, guess the taste buds changed.

Complete recipe?

Re: Venison Meatloaf - 08/18/16 02:39 PM

The wife made it the other night, that recipe is in her head and she never makes it the same way twice but it is always good.

Here is link to the recipe that I use when I make it. The only deviation is to knead in a piece of white bread when mixing the meat, makes it stick together better than just the bread crumbs...wife's idea and it works

Now that sounds good

Saw a couple of posts about a bacon wrapped meatloaf. Never tried it, how do you wrap it?

Just tried this recipe, absolutely fantastic! We donated my wife's recipe for meatloaf to brick hall of fame and replaced it with this one.
