Making jerky is down pat here at the farm, my kick is can you get away with shipping
or mailing a small package of jerky to the west coast? hopefully the mailman wont get
a wiff?

Freeze it first and pack good to ship via mail service? or use dry ice???
anyone here did it before???

tips, or suggestions?

thanks in advance......

hunt safe,,, be dry....

the whole reason jerky was invented was because it lasts so long. you'll be fine just put it in a paper bag not plastic so you don't get condensation.

Woody's ships it in a vacuum pack. Can't smell it until you cut it open. I think the scent should be your priority. If it smells like jerky, it will not get there.

It ships very well. A friend of mine sends it in ziplocks with paper towels around the meat, no ice. California to Texas takes 4 or 5 days regular mail. Why in God's good name would it matter if anyone smelled it!

If they smell it will not arrive. They will 'lost' it. I don't trust usps.

Vacuum packed or put into zip lock bags. Should be no need for any ice. I hope you are not afraid of it spoiling before it gets there. If so, you are doing your jerky all wrong.
