Guacamole - 10/06/15 11:16 PM
It's almost to simple to put on a cooking forum, but what he heck. Someone asked awhile back, and I had it tonight with a chicken fajita.. I simply start with this.
I only mix it with a spoon and end with this
I'm sure that my good friend BradyBuck could do a better presentation , but what the heck.

Bill, your guacamole looks like something you'd find in a baby's diaper.

No jalapenos? My salsa has tomatoes, onions and jalapenos. The cilantro is fresh from my garden.

Mashed avocado salt pepper and garlic powder is all it needs for me. Little lemmon/lime juice if its gonna sit for any period of time.
My inlaws put lemmon pepper in it

I used to bartend at a Mexican food restaurant in the 80's when I was getting my undergrad, when it was slow before the dinner rush got there, I would help out in the kitchen, made Guacamole most of the time.
We took 5 gal plastic bucket, filled it with avocados, few cups of salt (can't remember exact amount), and fresh squeezed lemons (you get a lot more juice than lime, and you can't tell the difference). And that was it, I still make it this way today. Try this simple recipe, it has great color, has a very fresh taste to it, I suspect you will never over complicate guacamole again.

Homegrown cilantro sounds wonderful. I'm going to try that ~
