The best pizza I’ve ever had

Man Texopolitan Pizza in Van Alstyne is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’ve been 5 times since they opened and it’s better each visit. Dough, sauce and cheese all made in house. The sausage is also made in house. Worth the detour if you’re in the area.

The best pizza place I've ever been to was a small joint in West downtown Houston and I can't recall the name now, but man that pizza was ridiculous. Chain stores have ruined what pizza is supposed to be in this Country. Simple pizzas/simple ingredients but cooked to perfection with that toasty crust that makes me want to bite harder after every bite.

I'll make an exception to the chain rule by nominating Hideaway pizza. Started in stillwater OK, the have grown exponentially and have started to move in north Texas. Pro tip, get the fried mushrooms. Fun fact, the dishwasher at the original location invented the game Pente.

There's a ton of great pizza in Dallas. Yep, not driving 100 miles round trip for pizza. Maybe if I'm up in McKinney for sports I'll head that way.

Shotgun Sams in Dallas years ago when they were still in business. I've never found any place that made better pizza.

Best pizza I ever had was in Aspen. Just fantastic. Up here, Jersey Boys in Whitefish is the best I have found so far.

My son and I ate there Thursday. It's good but a bit pricey. We like Cadillac Pizza in McKinney better.

Louie’s on Henderson in Dallas…a true joint in a world of wannabe’s….been eating great pizza for, I dunno, 30 years or so.
