Best Pork Chop in DFW - 04/21/18 05:21 PM

So having a discussion with some friends and we started talking about the best pork chop in DFW. I have eaten at a lot of nice places and so far the smoked pork chop at Salt grass in Grapevine is my choice. But lets hear all of ya'lls choices.

It's been a while since I have been to Perry's but if you ask anyone it is Perry's. Obviously it is very thick. Just Google it and Perry's is everywhere.

Best I had was in Tipton KS on a pheasant hunt. Well over an inch thick and marinated in something sweet. I need to find the recipe. Update, found it on a Nebraska state website as a guy there hunts the same ranch.

Salt grass is good, but off my son's smoker has been the best! Cooking with his co workers at Mesquite Fire Dept. has been very good for my family

Perry’s! They now have 3 locations in DFW! Hard 8 has a pretty good Chop as well. Much better than their BBQ

I feel like the pork chop is the crappiest cut of meat regularly eaten. It just wishes it was tender and juicy like chicken. It just wishes it didn't have to be sawed through like an overdone steak.

Perry's sounds good but not paying $40.00 for a pork chop! I'll go to Texas Roadhouse that has a pretty good thick pork chop.

Then you need to go at lunch on a Friday and pay under $20 for it.

Couldn't agree more, too many people think you need to cook it well done.

A fried pork chop cooked correctly is hard to beat. I like mine about 1” thick dredged in egg and flour, seasoned to taste (I recommend seasoned salt on the chop and the flour not lowry’s) served with brown gravy and mashed potatoes. There is a place in Desoto that fries a great pork chop, whole, with great sides. Mason’ on Hampton. Really good.

Agree. Perry's is great, but Hard 8 has a good one too. The only meats worth ordering at Hard 8 are the pork chop and the poppers.

BJ's has an awesome 2 bone pork chop on the menu. I eat it all the time and never let's me down. Granted that's the only place I've had a pork chop!
