Downtown/Square area is definitely the hub for good food in McKinney
Forgot to mention Bakers. It is still a solid burger, but not as good as it used to be. Still go there pretty frequently when I want something quick that is better than fast food burgers.
We went last night, bave alwways gone in the day. Bring a handgun, the neighnorhood is very shady. I was drinkin beer and don't carry when I am but wished I was. A crack head came up to my vehicle and wanted 75 cents. She was shaking badly and glaring at my wife and daughter. Looking back I would have like to have handled it differently.

I would have given her $100, so she would overdose
If you want one of the best meat markets in Texas check out Local Yocal just north of the Square on Tennessee. My coworkers rave about Thai Noodle Wave on 75 just North of Eldorado. I haven't tried it but it's on my list. Other than that I think the restaurants have been covered.
on fridays. Hutchins has a jalepeno stuffed with cream cheese and brisket, then wrapped in bacon. Smoked with a little bit of BBQ sauce. Amazing. They call them twinge as twinkles or something?
