Flo KO'ed Herself

Flo KO'ed Herself - 06/29/16 09:16 PM

I have a little bluetick gyp about 10 months old that is wound tighter than Dick's hatband. She is much more active in the kennel than I like but is a real hustler in the woods. Yesterday, when I was down at the lower kennels, I noticed that she suddenly grew quite in the upper kennels. After I finished feeding where I was I walked up to the upper kennels and found a dog that was very near death. She was struggling to breathe, could not stand and eyes were dilated. Evidently, when she was bouncing around her kennel she slipped on the smooth concrete floor and almost cracked her skull. I carried her out of the kennel and tried to get her to stand but she wobbled to the ground. Finally after about an hour and a half, she was back to almost normal. May be a couple of days before I will take her hunting as I don't want to risk her taking another blow to the head.
Adios,
Gary

I was really hoping it was the end to some of those stupid insurance commercials; I was smiling until I read the whole post. The wrong b!tch got ko'd. grin

Hope she has a fast and full recovery!

HuntnFly67, ain't that the truth! I simply hate those commercials and that woman makes my skin crawl. Someone asked if I named the pup after the commercials and I said "Heck No! She's a little dog and needed a short handle".

By the way, she is doing fine. Only concern I have is that once that have been KO'ed, seems that it can happen much easier.

If she finds out she has the same name as the woman in the commercial and she bites you, you deserve it laugh

Going along with other famous Flos, there is always this peach:

Excuse me, Flo?

I hunted her this morning and she was fine. She is one a little dog with a huge motor, she is everywhere more than anywhere though she doesn't know exactly what she is trying to do. Older dogs took an old, cold track off a water trough and trailed to a tree. Since I hunt after daylight, I could see her trying to smell what they were smelling. Time will tell just how good she is going to be.
