Rattle Snake vaccine in DFW? - 10/17/15 04:35 PM
The vet my buddy and I use does not keep it in stock. He will get it, if you are willing to pay for the entire vial.
Does anyone know of a vet that keeps snake vaccine in stock or a place you can buy individual doses to give yourself? Also, what is the expected cost for first time (two doses?)
Fort Worth or north Richland Hills preferred, but we will drive to Dallas if needed.

I've shot a rattler every time I've been to my place. Not taking any chances w my dog. It's worth the money the drive and the piece of mind.

Do vets use Crofab for dogs? I know that is the human anti-venom, but didn't know if it was for veterinary purposes also. That stuff is EXPENSIVE... like $1,500-2,000 a vial.

Found the canine antivenom... alot cheaper than human equivalent $559.99 for a vial vs $2,700 for Crofab (that's what the drug costs, not what the hospital charges)
Canine Anti-venom -Antivenin 10mL
