Antibiotic Ointment - 09/17/15 07:19 PM
I have been using an antibiotic ointment on my dog for the past year with really great results. I took a continuing education course on Ozone use in Healthcare and learned a great deal about its potential uses in my practice. I have since used it in most all of my patients with good healing. For my dog I use it just as you would neosporin. The ointment is antibiotic but also promotes healing.
Ruby had acral lick dermatitis 'hot spot' that the vet couldn't get rid of for over a month with 2 different rounds of antibiotics. Of course this was during hunting season so it kept getting re-infected after every trip. After I took the course I bought some oils and applied it every day for about 4 days. Within the week the lesion had almost completely healed and I didn't have any recurring issues with it for the rest of the season. I buy my oils from ozoneoils.com but there are several other suppliers.
