I can relate to all the above, The trainers back in "those days" would do whatever it took to get a dog "trained" cattle prods while in the crate, toe hitch till it bled, channel Lock plies for the ear pinch. Punch in the nose till it bled to get a freeked out FF dog to "drop" the bumper it held while shaking.
That's why some trainers don't want you coming to visit your pup during training
Some times it takes these methods to get results and I think it is still part of many trainers routines. Not for me but.....
