Can't deny the results

Jim is old school, a wealth of knowledge, and a good guy

He's helped me out a time or two

And I think too many "verys" shows you may not know what you are talking about or may not know a damn thing about dog training....

Jim will get the job done. There isn't anything he won't do. I had a older dog that I was trying to FF. She was very aggressive and I sent her home. I like my hands and arms and hope to keep them for a while. I ran into her owner a few years later and asked about her. She took her to Jim and he got the job done. I can only imagine what he did...

He knows every trick in the book.

shotgun i have personaly seen him use so much prssure dogs were pissing and shitting on themselves. dogs thats ears and tongue were bleeding after FF sessions. as angie said, i can only imagine how he got that FF done. yes he has a wealth of knowledge but so do alot of others without that much of a heavy hand,

He's gotta be too old for this stuff anyway. It's a very demanding job physically and he's no spring chicken.

he had wooden dowels for FF with nails in them. he would wear a zip tie around his thumb with a beer top bottle attatched to it so it would dig into ear during FF. he is a master of a slingshot with marables in them to tag a dog on [censored] not going to pile fast enough. jim sets up some good test when he has judged but no way in hell my dog would go there for training even if it was free. he is not a bad guy but set in his ways of old school training. you can learn alot by listening to him or hearing his reasoning for training set ups but yard work? NO THANKS

I can relate to all the above, The trainers back in "those days" would do whatever it took to get a dog "trained" cattle prods while in the crate, toe hitch till it bled, channel Lock plies for the ear pinch. Punch in the nose till it bled to get a freeked out FF dog to "drop" the bumper it held while shaking.
That's why some trainers don't want you coming to visit your pup during training

Some times it takes these methods to get results and I think it is still part of many trainers routines. Not for me but..... whip

Not for me either. If someone has to do those things to get FF done,,,, I think they need to learn some new tricks. Brutality has no place in dog training.
