New training grounds - 04/27/15 10:07 PM
Finally asked our neighbor if I could work dogs on his 50 acres he was more than happy to let me use it. 2 acre pond and some diff Terran.
Can't wait to get all my pups out to try the new property. Any one up my way is more than welcome to come train with us.
Nice place. You could do some nice setups on that second pic.

Now if I just knew what to set up I'd be set lol.
That depends on your dogs level of training. At a glance I see a number of factors and concepts that you could teach. If you break down the concepts you will start to see possible setups. So the factors in that pic are cover, shadows, slots, long water entry, cheating singles, elementary channel swims, multiples down the shore, pushing out of water on the far shore, angle entries, and contrary marks (if you choose to do them, I don't like them). I'm sure some others may chime in and see something I don't but think about those factors while you look at those pictures and some marks and blinds will start to emerge. Just remember, train, don't test.

Put a Johnny house on there this fall since you now have a pointing dog.
