Hand Signal Advic - 04/20/15 11:40 PM
I have a lab who is just a little over a year old and I have been doing my best to train him. What is the best way to start working with hand signals with him?

You're probably going to want to get a formal training program. Take a look at Evan Graham's Smartworks.

Long process, called the "T" . hard to describe here. Pup needs to sit on whistle very well. You will need help from youtube or a pro.

Yes, long process however it involves more than just the "T". You will need to get a complete video program, work with a pro or join a competent training group.

Like mentioned you need whistle to sit command down 100%. I don't agree you need a professional. You need a lot of time, start easy and in close and go from there. Lots of reps over lots of days. Obviously it's slightly more involved than just that but take it slow and work a little everyday

Throw a hot dog and point. Bet he already knows hand signals. Or get a program and follow it.
