Retriever Training Kennels - 02/26/15 02:45 AM
What's up guys, I'm looking to send off my 1y/o lab for 4-6 months, basically till the end of summer, for strictly duck hunting training by the whistle.
I have trained him for the full year & he has hunted all season pretty well, but I want him to become a champion-style dog, but with college coming up and this busy summer, I cannot train him for the upcoming season.
Please let me know where the absolute BEST place to send him for duck training! He is already trained pretty well, but I want him at that next level. I am willing to drive out of state as well, but I am located in Columbus, TX. Thanks!

Ha, you answered your own question.
Best retrievers.
Rody has a very good reputation. Plus, he is only an hour away. If i were you, I'd pick a trainer that's close so you can contact them and train too. A lot to running a good dog is good handling, which a local trainer could help with.

Thanks!

Rob Murray is down in Wadsworth.
http://www.murrayskennels.com/Would definitely recommend going with someone close enough that you can go visit and train with often. My dog is ~4 hours away and it's much more difficult to get up and train with her than I'd anticipated.

Wadsworth is where I plan on doing some "duck-work" anyways. Thanks!
