5 days in South Dakota=COLD!

Four of us just returned from western SD what will go in the history books as one of the best pheasant hunts I have ever been on. The cold front that rolled in sure brought some harsh weather. Fortunately there were plenty of wild birds to keep our minds off the bitter cold.

5 days of hunting, 4 hunters and 8 DD's harvested 45 pheasant, 7 grouse and 1 hun.

Looks like a great hunt, that is where my dog (also a DD) came from, and I hope to hunt her there in the future.

That is cool. I guess I need more DDs to get more birds. We only had two with us on our trip.

Someday I will chase the grouse and huns, but I always put the pheasant first.
