Wanted: Lease near Fort Worth - 01/10/18 03:42 AM

Looking for a 2018 annual lease within 2 hours of Benbrook, Tx. 2-3 hunters including myself. (Brothers & Dad) . We have been hunting our entire life up north in Washington, we are looking for land to help manage (food plot possibly) we are only interested in older mature buck (1 each of the right one comes a cross) My father taught us when to let a buck live and how to hunt smart and respectfully. Please feel free to PM me. I know this may sound like many other posts but I have no other way to find leases nearby.

Check out blue star outdoors.
The guy seems pretty legit.
He currently has several in Jacksboro/Olney/Megargel

Blue Star Outdoors equals Danny Courville. There's enough feedback on THF to help with that decision.

Danny has friends on here too. Try to get both sides of any story.

Have you personally met Danny or done a lease with him?

I have not, but if I wanted to I could be introduced to him. I've heard stories that put an entirely different light on him and I think I believe that we are only hearing a small part of the true story.

This is the second time in the past few months when I simply state they may want to check around when his name is mentioned, a THF'er who's never met the guy, never had any dealings with him, pops up and essentially questions the validity of my comment vs asking first why I made it. I will admit the other person was a bit more nasty with his keyboard.

Danny lives here in the Mound, shook his hand, sat across the table from him, looked at some of his properties and came "that close" to signing a lease with him. Given I heard/read the stories bandied about, I decided to just make sure and draw up a leasee contract for him to sign on what my expectations were as his leasee. It wasn't until I presented him with that document, did he volunteer that he had in fact leased the dove hunting rights for the property I was signing up for, to someone else. Somehow I just don't see how you forget a detail like that when you're signing a no exception year round hunting lease agreement with someone? Do you? My personal experience above, lines up exactly with most any story you'll find floating around.

I have no axe to grind, which is why I just advise folks to ask around vs launching off in to story.

Charlie, wasn’t questioning you or your judgement. I heard that from someone I know well. I was surprised and figured others on here would be too. Peace.
