Hunting Lease Advice- lease broker or no? - 05/19/17 04:23 PM

I typically duck hunt public land during the week but am looking for a lease for weekends. Preferably a family style lease. I am wanting to find a lease with expectations if everything goes well it will be an annual ordeal. I was wanting to see if anyone had any advice on going about finding a lease? Is a broker worth it and if so any recommendations? Looking to stay within 3-4 hours of Dallas

Generally, you will pay more going through a broker. Some are legit, and some are not. They do this for a business, and have to charge the member a "spread" from what they pay. The ideal way is to find an existing lease that meets your needs, and join it. Also check out leases in Arkansas, they are much less expensive. Remember, you need a out of state tag, about $300.00.
