West as in west Tx, or, west as in near the town of West in McLennan County.

West Tx basically has no meaning -------- near El Paso,, or closer to Abilene ----------- you have to narrow it down a bit.

I had an old timer tell me once that West Texas don't start til you crossed the Pecks river
