We're a family owned and operated, new hunting operation in Frio County, less than an hour from San Antonio. Our ranch is 1000 acres high-fenced, all deer born on the ranch and live wild in the pasture. We have bucks in the 140's all the way up to 200" and none of our bucks have tags/never have been tagged. You have some huge native deer on your facebook page. The ranch HQ looks very nicely laid out from the picture you have posted.

Is the big framed 12 pointer with the drop tine that's pictured above, going to be on the hitlist this season or is going to be to young?

He needs one more year! He's one of our most impressive bucks on the ranch.

If you're visiting the Texas Trophy Hunters show in San Antonio this weekend, look for our wildlife biologist Jason Shipman, or call him at 210-508-8447 to book.

He'll be around 200" we're guessing, we have no idea. That would usually be around 10k, but we'll probably ask $8,500 for him. He's pretty elusive, we've seen him once in person.

Are you using AI or selective breeding in pens and then turning the off spring out on the ranch after a year or two? Lots of great looking bucks.

Selective breeding, yes. We use DMP's but the fawns are released within weeks. No bucks with tags/ no 'stocker' bucks that are released right before the season. Thanks for your interest!

You bet. What doe to buck ratio do yall keep on the ranch?

Re: Flores Ranch Whitetails in Frio County - 09/22/16 11:07 PM
Not counting fawns, our buck to doe ratio is about 2:1....but with all these CWD regulations, we're not gonna be able to sell does for a couple years, so our doe population will be higher in the coming seasons.
