Colorado Elk hunt - 2 openings - 08/07/16 05:56 PM

Just rec'd. word from one of our outfitters in N.W. Colorado that two spots just opened up for a rifle elk hunt. The client that had the spots booked, had some health problems and had to bow out.

This hunt will take place on 6,200 acres of private land along with 1,200 acres of public land that they hunt.
Overall success over the years runs at 85% for his rifle hunts with this particular hunt (dates) running 90 - 95%.

As far as what to expect? The outfitter does take a couple/few bulls each year that will go a little over 300, but realistic expectations should be for bulls in the 260-280 class range.

Tags are available for this unit, but one needs to hurry if interested. Last week, there were close to 150 left over tags available and as of this morning, only 38 are left.
