Odaniel's Hunting Services - 09/22/15 09:46 PM

My cousins bachelor party was this weekend and he wanted to shoot some birds so we set up for a Saturday- Suunday ( 3 hunts 2 morning and an afternoon) for 400$ for 8 guys.

Fast Forward Saturday AM and there are 2 guys claiming to have leased the land out so we didnt get to hunt the GW came out and it looks like Kevin the owner had double leased the land so we were asked politely to leave.

Kevin offered to give us $50 of the $400 since we "showed up to hunt and no kills were guaranteed"

Just wanted to let everyone know to STAY AWAY from Odaniels Hunting Services.

Thats sucks especially for your cousin, im sure some people on here could send you in the right direction if you wanted to reschedule your hunt with a reputable outfitter.

He owes you a lot more then $50!!! You should get all of your money back and a big apology.

ya but unfortunately $400 isnt worth going to claims court for ... i would think the fees would be more expensive than that...

You should look into the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act - Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 17. If you meet the criteria, you can get triple damages and make them pay attorney's fees, too. You should talk to a lawyer about it.

I'd say my $400.00 back and a good Texas azz whooping is in order. Anything short of that is unacceptable.

You should get your $400 plus traveling expenses back for not being allowed to hunt. He broke the agreement, not you so he should be responsible for all of your expenses. You paid and showed up in good faith and he reneged on the deal. He owes you a refund and all expenses.

That is straight up theft! I would make calls to the district attorney.
In my wilder days: I would have taken a flame thrower to his place! (Can't remember the movie)

you are talking about extra fees to go to small claims court. He may be made to pay those along with your $400. Take him to Judge Judy. She will make sure you get it all plus some.

Did you pay with credit card? I would charge back that....

If not I would let him know to refund the money or you will peruse legal action. You did not hunt. It is not as if you hunted but didn't see anything.
