large capacity homemade feeder - 01/08/10 04:33 PM
I was drawing up how to make a large feeder out of thin metal.
I am wanting at least 1000# as my ranch is 7 hr drive. I was just wanting to throw corn to keep deer in the area (low fence)as we fed heavy this year only during the season and pulled in tons of deer, more nice bucks than ever including a nice 14 with split brows and let a bunch of young bucks walk.
what recommendations do you have? I am concerned with moisture buildup on my feeder, but I have a few ideas.
can i get away with angle iron legs or should i make them square tube... I have a wire feed welder
Heres what i am thinking but on a 1000# scale not as tall, as i will put it a hog proof area, not worried about it getting tipped
