Beware of Blinds 4 Real!!!!!

Wanted to share a very poor experience that we've had with the company, Blinds 4 Real, which is located just south of Dallas. We ordered a 10 foot tower blind from them in May. They build somewhat customized wooden blinds. They told us they would deliver the blind to our lease by sometime in July for an additional delivery fee. We agreed, paid half down and waited. Since then we've seen nothing. We've contacted Larry, the owner, a number of times (somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 times). He Fed us excuses time after time and then in August just started to ignore our texts and calls altogether. Finally, we lost our temper and sent him a pointed text with some admittedly harsh language. Not surprisingly, he replied within 2 minutes with some harsh language of his own (although the he misspelled half of the cuss words). He told us he'd credit our credit card for our deposit by last week. As expected, we've seen no credit at all. I would strongly recommend avoiding Larry and Blinds 4 Real. He's at worst an unethical scammer and at best a very poor businessman.

Sorry to hear that. That place in Alvarado has a lot of blinds available. I forget the name, maybe "buck stop"?

Dispute the charge on your CC and let them deal with him.

THis for sure. Bank will just ask if you spoken to them about the problem, when and who, and what was said.

This post really makes me wonder. I have bought several blinds and feeders from him and have never had a problem. He is a great guy and has become a very good friend. There has to be more to this story. His blinds are very high quality and not cheaply made. I have recommended his blinds to several friends and they are all very satisfied with him and his work. Bout to order another for next season.

Hmm. I've bought two stand from Larry over the years and never had a single problem. Everything was delivered on time and as expected. I recommended him to a buddy last year and it was the complete opposite. Hope everything is alright.

I would never front any money for a blind, you're just asking for trouble. If the company building the blind can't afford the materials to build them and keep at least a small inventory available, I'd look elsewhere for a blind. Plenty of reputable manufacturers that have plenty of inventory scattered throughout Texas.

In April, Larry committed to replace my blind after he didn't make his commitment to rebuild the blind based on the pictures I sent him of the issues. 5 calls, 5 texts, and 9 THF PM's and no response from Larry.

Seems like several folks are having similar issues with his services.

Only "5 calls, 5 texts, and 9 THF PM's" since April? I've got that beat by about 2 miles! Hard to get back your good name after such nonsense.

I gave him time to get the work done from May to July by checking only monthly. The rest were sent Aug - Sept. I'd be glad to provide more details via PM's.
