Just bought a Summit Viper SD climber and I was wondering how good it was as far a durability/comfort/stability...etc. I noticed how light it was compared to my old climber which was handed down by a buddy.

The stand itself should last many decades, but you will have to maintain it. I've had mine for 16 years and have replaced the plastic coating on the cables and the rail padding a couple of times. I added rail mounted storage bags and they're due for a change too. All-in-all, probably the best stand on the market IMHO.

The quietest climber I have ever owned. Light and very durable. When you lock it on the tree to climb, it grabs. Had not used mine in about 3 years because now days I' more into pop ups and Loc ons.
