Filling feeders, anybody do it for a living??? - 09/07/16 10:57 PM
we have a lease near Kerrville, 6 feeders. Problem is we all live in Frisco/Plano/Denton and are old, broke down.
Is there a service, bonded and insured, who fill peoples feeders? I really don't want other people knowing our gate locks, etc. but it would sure be good to have this done for a reasonable fee.
These are all good old 300# corn feeders, not big protein feeders.

Check with a local feed store. Most offer that service for a fee.

If your like me, not knowing your situation, i made up years ago a tripod with a hand winch to lower and raise my barrel.... about
10yrs ago i rode down to the ground a bag corn on my shoulder and went over the top of the feeder, laying in fireants hurt, wife not around sweating, wondering what do i do next. broken feeder time, bent legs........
Doesnt take long to fix a problem, to make to your advantage! so know i drive up to feeder with Kubota tractor bring the bucket to feeder at ground level and fill the feeder, little work, but heck of lot safer.
hunt safe....

There is a guy in Llano who does it on weekends with his son. I cannot remember his name but I know the folks at the store in Castell know who he is.

Not sure if you were still needing feeder filling services or not, but a buddy of mine recently started up Hacienda Wildlife Company, LLC. and he just posted that they offer feeder filling services. I just remembered seeing this thread a while back and wasn't sure if you were still interested or not.
