switching over to large 1500+ stand and fills on skids, water tight, easy lift swivel lift lids (need to add mirror on underneath sides since no sight windows on feeder), eliminator spinner with 12 volt solar charger. Hoping to cut down on trips to fill and maintenance

1000 pound stand and fill with all parts (motor, controller, cables) enclosed from sun and weather.

Designed to keep coons and squirrels out without using a cage that knocks all the corn to the ground in a pile.

Alamo and The Judge. You can purchase an Alamo from one of our members in the classified section. Much more heavy duty than the Judge.

Perfect feeder to me:

Holds enough to last a while, easy to fill, reliable, won't rust, and varmint/pig/cow proof.

For years I have used tripod style with and without winches, and stairs and ladders, but as I have gotten older and hunt when others are not at the ranch as my schedule has allowed. Have changed over to stand and fill style for safety and ease of filling. They are not the cheapest but due to age and help that is not available when I am there. Safety has made me change a lot in the way I hunt.
Stand and fill feeders and blinds with stairs and railing.

06roadguide I've also gotten to the age where, I've changed on the side of safety. Old bone getting to brittle for a fall loading 300 lbs of corn in feeder.

I do not know why I did not us safety years ago instead of beating my body up carrying 1500/2000 # of corn every 3 weeks for all those years up and down ladders. I guess it is true wisdom comes with age and also broken down bodies.
