The Bow Blynd

Has anyone seen one in person. I only found it as a pop up ad. Looks like it might be a more reasonable choice over the redneck blind.

I'm not impressed with the bylnds at all. they seem cheaply made.

I have had the regular blynd for 30 years. I have rotted out a couple of floors but the blynd still is holding up strong. I put 2 of the 4x4 blynds together when my kids started hunting with me and framed the sections so it would be easier for one person to take down and move. It has been a great blynd and I have raised 3 kids in it.

I just built me a new deer stand and gave mine to my kids so no telling how long that stand will be around.

I have their 4x8 with their 5ft tower and it's a good blind for the money. It's one of those things that needs a little work to get it to where you want it. I installed some of those foam squares that snap together and then threw a piece of outdoor rug over it to quiet it down. Then I put some strips in between the tower bars and the floor so it would dampen the sound. If you bump it inside it sounds loud but you really can't hear it from outside. My buddy tends to doze off while we hunt hogs at night and snores lol. I just keep his window shut and they still come in to the feeder 40 yards away from the blind. We have it set up for crossbow hunting. We use the anchoring system and have it ratchet strapped to two different trees and it doesn't budge. I also sprayed it down with some camo paint to take the shine off of it. Definitely get the full size door. There isn't a lock on that model so I installed some large eye bolts and use two large master locks. It isn't a ranch king blind but it does the job. Call Carter Country and ask them to sell you a display model for a discount or try Texas Direct Hunting Supply for a good deal. They supply everyone in Texas with blinds. In time I am going to get a Ranch King blind on a trailer because my buddy is going to end up in a wheel chair in the next couple of years. I want him to still be able to get out hunting with me.

At least they're trying to innovative a little. I was in their place (San Antonio) a few years ago and I thought they were on their last leg. Their blinds have always been a decent value for what they are.

the plastic lasts awhile, but have to watch you're noise level.

Anyone with a 28 or more inch Draw is going to have a tight fit when it comes time to shoot.....

I am wondering if I can buy the bow window front panel and install it on my 4x8 blynd since they sell spare panels Incase a tree falls on your blind and tares it up. I wouldn't mind installing a bow window panel on one side of the front. It would be a cheaper option than buying a Millennium ladder stand. Then I could use a rifle or crossbow out of one side and my bow out the other side of the front of the blind. It should work since they both seem to be able to sit on their towers. I am going to call them tomorrow and find out and will post if it can be done or not.

Called and talked to the company today and they said that The Bow Blynd panels will fit their Hunting Blynd. They still haven't priced out the individual panels yet but will call me tomorrow morning with the cost for individual bow window panels. I am going to pick up two of them and replace the front of my blind with them. Will post the price of them after they call me tomorrow.

I have had one of their 4x4 regular blinds for a while, no complaints.

I got the price for the bow and crossbow windows panel and I am going to pick one up next week. It is going to cost $150.00 for a panel but they are going to give me a discount since I already have their 4x8 blind which is awesome if them to do. I might pick up two and put another one on the back wall. I have to come up with some kind of strip to cover 2/3rds of the window from the bottom to over half way up the rectangular window so when I open the window, I am not leaving a huge opening and exposing my whole body. Plus I don't feel like freezing when night hunting so I can see out the window lol. I will probably epoxy a plastic strip over the front of it since the window opens inward. I only need 1ft of window to shoot through. The panels are also angled out so you have room for the bow. If the crossbow windows allow for me to be able to shoot straight out the front then I won't have to do the modifications and will just use them for my rifle and crossbow shots. These blinds are definitely worth the money and are pretty easy to make any upgrades to them. In the end they are a cheaper price than most blinds out there and even after you put some work in to them, you are still saving money.
