drowned feeder - 06/11/16 11:00 PM

Got a feeder that was under water for a while recently with the floods. Opened the box and the batteries and connections were all rusted. Of course, no power. Had to wade to get to it so I didn't any extra batteries, etc with me. Any chance this thing will work again with new batteries? It's a Spintech 6vt system.

If I had to guess your timer will probably be shot. But guessing your motor and solar panel will be fine once they dry out and you clean then connections.

A new battery, and maybe timer, should have you back in business. Not too bad.

I lost the same feeder twice last year. The motor initially worked (after some WD40), but only lasted a couple of weeks

The feeder now hangs about 15' up in the air. hanged
