Can this feeder be fixed? - 06/19/15 10:57 PM
My buddy has some large & expensive protein feeders. They all are starting to rust at the head & the deer/axis are now breaking them off. Can these be economically fixed? Located near Junction Texas.

Yes. Any welding shop or welder can fix that.

I'm not a welder, but it just doesn't seem like enough metal left to weld(?)

Will probably need a wire welder, most fab/welding shops have those as well. If you take them is, you would be smart to see if they can reinforce that area with new steel if possible, maybe some 1/8th strap.

The ranchman is correct. It can be fixed, the metal metal be thin around the break but a welder can reinforce it and fix it for your buddy.
