Wireless Game Cameras Recommendations - 09/29/17 12:55 PM

Looking at this - Bushnell Trophy Cam HD Aggressor 14MP Wireless Trail Camera

Any pros/cons? Is there a better option in that price range?

Had coverts but they are now no longer on ATT.... Both my Coverts died at the same time....

Bought a Spartan and so far I love it.

Thats Funny because I sent 2 coverts in this week and both were not repairable.... They offered to replace both with new cameras at 50% off but I had to use covert wireless simm and choose a by the picture plan.....

I just bought another Spartan 2 days ago.

The spartan I put out on 9-24-17 has taken tons of pics and batteries are still above 90%... My coverts would be at 45-50% or less by now. I have not had the spartans long enough to really know if they will be the answer but so far they are great. I ran 2 coverts for several years and would have bought another if they would have kept them on ATT.

Covert still uses ATT, I just added two on ATT to mine, heck they just came out with the new ATT rate plans last month and now you can share a plan between multiple cameras. I had to send my covert camera in and they couldn't repair it but they replaced it for free with the new model. Were you out of warranty?

To the OP, I love my coverts but the solar panels are a necessity. For me their customer service has been spectacular. There was a website a month or so ago selling the black ops 12.1s for 230 a piece, almost half off.

Anyone know the differences in the 2016 and 2017 models? Found the 2016 models on sale at a great price. I need at least 4 cameras.

Re: Wireless Game Cameras Recommendations - 10/22/17 11:24 PM

Couple upgraded features like being able to pay for a high res pic and download it remotely. If you found the 2016 model cheap buy it. Not worth paying full price for the new one. Not sure what website you are looking at but I found the 2016 models for like 230 a piece and bought two. Then they sent me the newer models. They aren't on the website anymore so they must have sold out.

Have had one of these out for about 5 months now and am very pleased with it. Good quality day and night with the IR set to high. Very few pictures of wind. Just received a very nice ($100) rebate check on the purchase.

Trophy cam easiest to get going with. No need to go get an SD card at an ATT dealer. Just set it up and sign up online at wirelesstrophycam.com.

I'm done with my Covert. I put it out and things are peachy-keen for a bit over 2 weeks, then it turns into some kind of Zombie. Might not get a pic for a day, maybe two. Then I might get a pic, maybe two. Today I got like 12 after a day or two of none. When it starts this crap it only sends pics from mid-day, like 11-1 specifically, never at night. Could command it to send at will around 1PM, nothing tonight.

I'm going to give the Spartan a try.

Just curious, but have you contacted Covert? I've had Coverts for a few years and while I've had a few problems, their customer service has been spectacular up to sending me brand new cameras when I had issues. If you haven't, I would suggest calling them. They have been able to fix all my issues pretty quickly.

Just picked up the Spartan HCO game cam. The Testing at the house has been flawless. Will post an update after it’s up and running at the Lease. Picked it up for $279.00.
