Improvement of images and consumer batteries of trail camera LTL Acorn!?!? - 01/11/16 05:01 PM

Hunters Hello !. OK?
I'm having trouble with my trail camera. The night images, the next area to the images diameter limit (the edges) are too dark.
Sometimes it is difficult to see the animal that caused the camera shot.
Always used the lowest resolution and now came the questions:
- If I increase the resolution of the image may improve or be indifferent?
- The battery consumption may increase significantly and will also be negligible or even non-existent?
Can anyone give me this information?
Grateful.

I have the issue with dark edges when the batteries are low. Also raise the camera a little bit higher then angle or point the camera downward at a slight angle instead of level. This will allow the IR illuminator to shoot into the ground instead of out beyond the animals. I don't think the increased resolution will help the dark edges or consume more battery. It will use up more card space is all.

So your camera actually photographs more area than your flash covers, correct?

You can put tape over the edges of the motion sensor (left and right side) to narrow the field of sensitivity. That will limit the number of images taken with the animal on the far edges.
