Handheld flash lights

What is everyone using? I have a smaller light that I use to get to the blind in the dark but I need something else that puts off some good light in a small package. Ended up tracking a deer this last weekend and had to go back to camp to get my maglight because my normal light wasn't good enough.

Streamlight Protac HL 600 Lumens. Has three modes bright, dim, and strobe. Fits perfectly in the hand. I use it all the time. Only thing is the CR123A batteries are pretty expensive but still think it's worth it.

And hard as hell to find locally. I've been trying to find one for my NV for 3 weeks now locally.

Yea your best bet is to buy online. Usually a little cheaper also.

I use a Surefire, They are the brightest lights I feel

I've seen them in Home Depot and Lowes, Walmart up around the watch department. I think Northern Tool also. Have you tried auto part stores? Might try Sportsman Guide.

Check out LED LENSER , I have M7...swear by it, high, low and strobe. ..they also have head light that lasts 2 couple years...flash light lasts a season using 4 aaa bats...about $75 for both.

You know, the Ultrafires are nothing special and their lumen claims are a lie, but they are VERY bright and will run on CR123s or 18650 rechargeable batteries. If you happen to lose it, you won't cry. Mine are comparable or better than the $100 Surefires I bought a few years ago.

The 18650 batteries are nice because of the long run times and they pay for themselves very quickly.

My all time favorite light is a little brown Magellan.

I run a zebra head lamp that runs of 18650. Went a week in NM and never charged it and that running it 2hrs a night walking out of NF

I'll 2nd the Ultrafires DNS mentioned. Bright, reliable, rechargeable 18650 battery, long run time and inexpensive... I use the Alaskan Guide XP headlamp ($90.00) from Cabella's also.

I don't see why anyone in a non-LEO/survival situation would spend more than 10 bucks for a flashlight these days. Costco has Cree 250 LED lights 3 for $15-20 every day.

They run on regular batteries and are bright as heck. I have them everywhere.

I currently have one of these but it sucks. Constantly cuts out when it is running.

This one is HANDY!!! Magnetic, bright as heck, 4 settings and has a low battery indicator and glow in the dark button. Picked this one up a Higginbothams brothers for $40. Son just killed a 196 pound hog using this light just held up to his stock.

It is a good one. Had one recently. I think the only draw back of that little light is just how small it is. Word to the wise don't wear it clipped to your pocket at work. Put in in your pocket!

I like the Pelican 3610PL Little Ed LED. The clip is handy and it glows softly so it's always easy to find, right angle light, doesn't roll around which is nice. It gets most every job done.

mini Maglite PRO LED. It uses 2 AA batteries, and they last a VERY long time. Has the focus beam like all maglites. Its a great light and very bright, has a great throw. I believe its rated at 275 lumens. Im big on really bright flashlights, and find myself grabbing this one over my full sized lights a lot of the times.
