Best Game Cams for night/security?

Been a while since I messed with game cameras and need some help picking which model to get.....

The tenant of the family farm has been given his 30 day notice to vacate and next week I will be making the trip out to the farm to check on the condition of the place and lock the gates; I need to get 3-5 game cameras to post on the place (obviously out of sight) just incase the former tenant or someone else gains access.

I'm looking for good solid cameras that can be used for security immediately; and then be used as game/feeder cameras once I have the time to get the cellular capable cameras purchased and installed.

Lots of good one out there. WIld game innovations have done well for me. Some guys like primos. Bushnell. it goes on. Change the locks while you are at it. I read some article the other day on changing locks once a year even if you don't give the code out.

I use the Browning Strike Force on both my spots on the lease
I have been very happy with picture quality both day and night, plus it's light source is IR, so there is no flash

Our Bushnells have lasted for years with no problems. Battery life is impressive and pics are good

Browning strike force, is hands down the best camera for the money. They have pretty good battery life and excellent range on day and night photos and pictures are quite clear. I run mine with 16gb sd cards and can get 9999 photos with it set on 10mb

However, if you want to put a covert cam on the gate or entry you would get a picture text when someone goes through. A call to the local Sherriff letting them know there is a trespasser would stop that right quick I would think.

do you have (or can get) internet at the 'family farm' ? If so, Moultrie Trace Premise cam is worth looking into - it is WiFi capable by adding a $20 SanDisk EyeFI SD card, and you can put as many as you want within WiFi range for instant pic uploading to remote computer harddisk (makes cameras impervious to pic data loss if thief steals camera).

Thanks for bringing this up oldoak2000 - But there is no internet access at the farm, not even a house just an old barn; Although in the future there will be and I fully plan on having remote cameras set up......its just not in the budget/priority right now.

If there's no house, what kind of tenant was it?

Spypoint makes some that send pics back to a remote recording box that can be up to 500 feet away and can put 10 cameras on one recording box and each camera has a SD card recording its own pics.

"Cattle lease"....That turned out to be an un-authorized timber cutting operation.
