Type of Hearing protection

Which type of hearing protection do you use when shooting. I've tried the low profile muffs but they restrict me from mounting the rifle comfortably. I use plugs primarily now but sometimes take to long to apply in hunting situations and most of my guns have breaks so hearing protection is a must.

I use electronic muffs. I don't have a problem with cheek weld.

You've got two choices: low profile electronic muffs that don't bother you, or spring for a suppressor. FWIW, many suppressors have muzzle brake mounting units. A .338 Lapua that sounds like a .223 and kicks like a .308 is an amazing thing ...
