Hanging Scales - 05/27/15 03:33 PM

Need ideas. I am about to buy one. This will be a gift for a guy that I hunt with in Kansas. We broke his last year and I cant seem to find the same one that he had. I prefer that it not be digital and it has to go higher than 300lbs as the deer that broke his 300lbs scale last year was more than that. Any advice/help/reviews are appreciated.

What's wrong with digital?

I bought a 550 lb Do All Outdoors hanging scale because it had a very high number of good ratings at both Amazon and Sportsman's Guide. I paid around $25 for it, as I recall. The bad news is that everyone seems to be sold out of them.

We have a hanging Chatillon Beam Scale. It does 600 pounds very accurately.
They can cost a bit, but they are well worth the money, if you can find one they last forever.
It looks like this one,
