New Bullits

New Bullits - 05/05/18 11:06 PM

Shot the new 88 gr ELD-M Bullets in my 22 Creedmoor today.
Only loaded a few just to see if they would shoot from 1/8 twist well enough to play with.
They did. Shot 5 at 340yards and considering erratic wind not to bad. First two almost touched but wind got really brisk from behind and for some reason 3rd went low and next two were same elevation as first two just further left as that’s the way the wind switched to. Group was 3 inch but if you took out the low shot it was .75MOA
Average velocity 3396 with Suppressor.... I shot a couple without just to make sure all was good.
ES 8 SD 4 for 5 shots

Oh and yes I have pictures but still have no luck getting them from IPhone or IPad on to here.

Sounds pretty good. Sometimes a group is more of a weather report than anything else

Thanks for the report. 80 gr ELD-M has been unavailable for several weeks. I may need to use those 88 gr. anyway, in .223 A.I. It is a 1:7.7

I've got 100 pieces of brass left to shoot, and I will have 400 fire formed.

Nice David! Can you do me a favor? Would you, please, measure the bullet for me and post the length of this bullet? I'd like to run some twist rate numbers. Thanks!!!

Easiest thing to do is get the photobucket app assuming u have an account. That how I used to do it when i had an iPhone.

Photobucket can eat [censored] and die.

I have a photo bucket account and I agree with FiremanJG. I guess my account is still there.... only thing that’s on there is about 800 pictures of dead coyotes.

I get .6955 base to ogive with a 22 comparator.

Also took a coyote today with the 88gr bullet..... 521 yards. Left to right wind so held back of rib cage and hit it in the neck. DRT. Got some awesome video of coyotes while I was waiting for some pigs to show up too.

Was looking at these a few days ago. If the bc stays at advertised I'm not sure it offers much over my current 90gr vld load but if it's higher like the 80gr eld I'll try some out.

The 168 ELDM in my 308 are the real deal. Going to try a few other calibers and possibly the ELDX too.

There, fixed it for you. Just upload them to the website if no app.

David,

Where are you buying your 88 grain ELD-M bullets. I can't seem to find them. Thanks!

I only have small quantity to play with. They came in a baggie from a local dealer who sells other addictive items... like guns/scopes cool

Sounds like Chad needs a new dealer...
