Priming - 04/26/18 11:44 PM
Ok, I have a big reloading project ahead of me but for the next 10-14 days will not be able to do much. My question is how long do you wait between priming and completing the cartridge. I will have some spare time at odd times and would like to prime 800-1000 but have to wait to powder and set bullet. Thanks

I have loaded brass that had been primed over a year earlier that shot well, cases were kept in the house. How long does primed cases sit on shelves and warehouses and still go bang when loaded and shoot?

Thanks, Kmon. I thought so but wanted to be sure.

I was recently worried about this myself. I put the prepped cases in a plastic case then in a big ziplock bag. I was worried about humidity. Mine sat for two weeks before I could get to them.

I have 223 in plastic bags for years and they still go bang.. what is the difference in a primed case and boxes of primers in a cardboard box sitting on your bench for years.
