Finally got some trigger time in. Still a work in progress. Load is 123 AMAX @ CfE. 15 rounds @ 100 yds. Probably could have been better and I still have some adjustments to make
It has been a rifle that is 2 yrs into the making. Alexander 16" 7.5 twist barrel. I originally had intended to put a Vortex on this one. The Athalon Argos was too good a deal to pass up
One of my issues is that i discovered the scope is mounted too far forward. I have to slide my cheek off the stock to get a focus. Not a big problem on the AR platform, just move it back 2 notches. Just one a them thangs.
I can give a quick rundown on the scope 6-24X50 FFP Mil Build quality is very good on par with Vortex. Physically a bit heavy. Optical quality is just under a Vortex. Only difference is that a Vortex is a bit brighter. The turrets lack the re-zero feature, I miss that. for $400 it is a grand slam. It works better than my spotting scope!
