What is your favorite? I have been running Barnes vortex ttsx 100 gr and I'm not impressed. Thinking about going to a partition or game King. Go...

Remington Core-Lokts have had great success with them 120 and 100 grain.

Here is my complaint with the ttsx lack of an exit wound, I think they are pencil punching them and not fully expanding. Thx for everyone's input my rifle likes both game kings and partition's so I think I'll switch. Has anyone else have any experience with the Barnes? I know there is a current thread about copper bullets just wondering about real world experience.

I have always shot a lighter copper bullet than I did a existing cup and core bullet. I not only have had good penetration, but excellent results dropping game. 25-06 with an 80 grain bullet, 257 with the same, 223 with a 53 grain bullet, and 22-250 with the same slug. Barnes bullets made small caliber guns lethal. I have used a good many Berger bullets of late, but in .22 cal center fires the Barnes X is the bullet if your are going to shoot pigs and deer...

I shoot the 117 grain gamekings in mine. I would guess they exit about 2/3 of the time. The gameking kills really quick at those speeds but can make a mess if the distance is short. I've shot allot of deer with them and nothing has went far. The vast majority drop are just go a few feet.

I like the copper bullets but haven't used them in my 25-06. You'll most likely have to track them a little farther. The trade off is there is almost always an exit and the meat doesn't get bloodshot nearly as bad.
