What brass are you running? The case volume between the Lapua, Rem and Winchester (7-08 necked down) will have a big influence. And what is your COAL?

Chad your a great guy! Its 99% rem, but i have about 50 243 win nickle that i started with. I have to double check coal when i get to the house.

45.9gr AA2700 under a 120gr smk- 22" bbl QL says 2924 fps
26" QL says 3029 fps (Also, this load shows 66K psi, which is a pretty stout load!)

260 rem - 44.3 gr AA2700 under a 120 a-max 22" bbl- QL says 2848 fps at 61K psi
26" barrel- 2952 fps at 61K psi

Both seated at 2.790". If seating depth is about 2.730", add 3K psi, and about 40 fps.

You the man chad. Yeah its definitely over if i recall, but no signs of pressure at all. happens to be by far the most accurate load for 2700 ive come up with. If i recall im about .4/.5 over max

I just looked ant didnt realize i was at 10% over saami listed pressure. If no pressure signs exist. Would you back off?

If it's a time proven load in your rifle, I'd run it. That's assuming you've shot this load in the heat. If you worked it up last December, tread lightly. I'm not sure of the temp sensitivity of that powder, but if you haven't tested it throughout all conditions I would be aware of the possibility that hot load may become dangerous in the heat.

As always, work up to that load, or any over max load. Don't just start there knowing that it's an over max load already, if you have never tried it. Back off a few grains and slowly work up to it. When I work up a load for a rifle, I back off a little from max, and work up to max, or slightly over max. If it's a customers' rifle, then I'll have 3-5 rounds of different test groups to shoot working up to max. If it's my personal rifle and I don't have any known data yet, I may load up 1 round at a time and shoot it to find max pressure. Once I find it, I know not to go over this, and work below that powder charge. If there's no pressure signs, then it should be fine. The main pressure signs I look for are sticky bolt lift and extractor marks on the case head.
