Yes, as a subsonic. The 200-220 make a great subsonic bullet. The velocity from a 308 will be low, and the bullet will not expand much. But penetration would be HUGE!
Not sure if it is right or not, but I read that the hornady 220 grain round noses were designed with 30-06/308 in mind and are realatively soft bullets.
I loaded them in my 300 wby and they were absolutely explosive on game, several did not exit on 150 lb size hogs. They did create massive complete and utter destruction on the inside though, was like a bomb went off. I would assume at 308 velocities they may perform well.
