Cabelas in Ft Worth had more today than I've seen in a long time.. 22 mag too, though I didn't see what it was selling for.

I see plenty most places I go not sure why people still make a fuss about it. I watched a guy checkout of the Buda store last week with a cart full of 22 RF ammo. I heard the lady at the register as I was leaving tell him 700+ dollars confused2

Re: Finally found some .22's - 05/10/16 09:19 PM

Academy in Garland has it every single time I go in there now. Last few times they even had the Remington 500 or 525 packs for around $28. The demand has no doubt slowed but its only a matter of time before it vanishes again. History repeats its self.

I don't shoot 22's much so a couple of bricks would last me a life time. If I wanted to stock pile I could have bought a pallet or so the last few months as often as I have been seeing it on the shelves. Its pretty much just the CCI stuff that is in short supply.

I really should have titled it different. What it should have said is, Finally found some .22's at WalMart. I have been able to find some .22's here and there, but not for as cheap as Walmart sells them. The Stingers were $6.50 a box of 50 and the Mini Mags were $7 something for 100. The 525 rnd boxes of the Remington Golden Bullets were about $27 each.

What are the stingers?

Academy in san marcos is stocked up right now on the off-brand stuff. I did pick up a few 100s of the mini mags and winchester small game hp's a couple weeks ago. took all they had

Nah, I use a 12 ga on those. I have actually picked up more .22's since this pic, I am up to 500 Stingers and 600 mini mag. I will quit at 1,000 of each. I will continue to buy more as we shoot them after that as long as they are available, but I want 1,000 of each stocked up in case we have that shortage bs again. Doing the same thing with a couple of other calibers.

Was in Academy on Forest Yesterday, they had alot of .22's but only had a few boxes of Mini mag and no stingers. Had a bunch of ELEY, Winchester SuperX and Browning. Some other brands I'm not familiar with too. The most .22's I have seen in a while.

Our local Academy has a good stock of .22lr including the Remington 1400 round buckets. Picked one up, but I should be good to go for a long time.

Yeah I think the shortages is pretty much over. I listed some of it on here and a few boards the other day, never got so much as a bite. First time I haven't sold .22LR when I listed it in years. No problem, went back onto the pile.

That's where I have bought all of mine. They dont always have it but I am in there once a week, so I just stroll by and check it out everytime I'm in there.
