Seeking advice on 9mm hp ammo

Seeking advice on 9mm hp ammo - 12/30/15 11:09 PM

I've recently purchased a Sig P6 9mm in very good condition. The P6 was a German military sidearm, and as such was made to use ball ammo only. Other than occasionally misfeeding the conical shaped Hornady Critical Defense FTX ammo, it works perfect. Does anyone have any suggestions for hp self defense ammo that are shaped more like regular ball ammo? Maybe a round nose hp with a rubber or plastic nose? Thanks in advance.

The Speer JHP looks pretty round shaped. Might work for you.

I think I saw an add on TV where Nosler is making hp ammo with a polymer tip to replicate the fmj shape. I bet its expensive.

Someone was making an expanding fmj. It was marketed to new Jersey because HP is illegal.

Edit I looked it up. Federal makes it under efmj. It should have the same profile as fmj.
