Because we can place it where we want it, as far out as we want it. And pretty much everyone here touts shot placement as the most important thing for anyone of us to do. Plus they have worked every time. Just because it isn't labeled as a hunting bullet doesn't mean it can't be used as such. Dead bodies prove more than words on a label. I am not going to use one on an elk, but it has worked fine on whitetail, hogs, and coyotes. Same load a I practice and compete with is what I use on those animals.
I'm a firm believer in shot placement, and I can place any bullet I load for easily at any type of hunting range it's designed to work at. I shoot the Berger Hunting VLD's and Sierra Gameking's for most of my hunting needs in almost every caliber I shoot, and they are as accurate as most Match bullets at long range.
I've seen too many animals that are wounded by getting shot with the wrong type of bullet. Hell,I kill more animals every year with the front bumper of my 18 wheeler than I ever shoot, and it has the B.C. of a house.
I'm not trying to start a fight,I just don't think Match bullets make dependable hunting ammo for game animals.
