question on brass anneal.

Can you anneal brass after it has been resized and primed? It is 308 Winchester brass. It is really the primed part I am not sure of.

I would not advise it. I have tried it and I did have a few primers cook-off from the heat transfer.

Primers are DOT classified as an explosive. I wouldn't let them near fire.

Get a universal decapper die to ease out those live primers before annealing, or run the decapping stem way out on your FL die to punch the primer but not touch the brass. Wear eye protection.

No, no, no. To anneal properly, you are heating the neck to 650 degrees. The goal is always to avoid heating the entire case to that temperature, but the case still gets very very hot. It is a bad thing to anneal primed brass!!
