Just looked at the website. That is the LAP round not a true M855 round. Even CTD stops short of calling it that. And that's not per case either.......its per 500 round case. A true case of 855 to most people is 1000 rounds.
Here is info in regards to the PMC XTAC.... in case you didnt know, M855 is the designation of the round--not projectile..The actual projectile is the ss109 first made by FN in Belgium.
The X-Tac line of PMC ammunition is, as the company describes, designed and manufactured "as if your life depends on it – because it might." As such, PMC proudly markets this line as their most reliable. To ensure performance, PMC adheres strictly to the specifications set forth by military and law enforcement organizations worldwide. As noted, each package of PMC X-Tac 5.56 ammunition contains 20 rounds of non-corrosive, brass-cased cartridges. But these are not just any cartridges. The cases are loaded with SS109 standard military ball bullets. Each 62gr full metal jacket bullet is constructed to provide for enhanced muzzle velocities. This particular load is capable of up to 3,100 fps. Remember that bit about the green tip I mentioned earlier? That signifies the presence of a lead-core bullet with a mild steel insert for enhanced penetration
And your complaining about a 500 round case? really..At least they are offering it at a decent price per round, if you want 1,000 rounds---buy 2 cases!!!!
