If they are 209A they should work very well. Blackhorn powder recommends the Federal 209A and the CCI 209M for use with their BH209 powder. I've used them for the last 4 years in my Knights with no problems.

I shoot the break over type rifle and have noticed some grains of Blackhorn coming through the breech plug before inserting the 209 primer, had a couple of missfires last year.

I've never had that problem with my 3 Knights (bolt action) and my TC Strike(break action) but all 4 have breech plugs made specifically to shoot BH 209 powder. I'd sure check the size of the flame channel in your breech plug. I've shimmed my primer cup to prevent blow by. Check BH209's web site for info on keeping the breech plug properly cleaned.

I use FIOCCI primers (616) which is a 209 type. Had several misfires when I used the primers specifically made for muzzleloading. My breechplug was special made for my rifle. Use Blackhorn 209 mostly, but have used Triple7 and pyrodex with not one miss or hangfire on FIOCCI primers.

Bought my FIOCCI primers from Graf and Sons in Mexico, Missouri. Their retail shop is only 15 miles from my deer hunting place. Could pick them up (saved the HIGH haz mat fee). I bought a carton (10 sleeves of 100) a few years ago. Use them in my shotshells when I reload.
