Plans to Ban Bowfishing for Gator Gar

Based on their tendency to disregard facts and science, many of us believe this survey is a guise to ban bowfishing for Gator Gar. Nevertheless, fill it out so that the bias remains obvious:

I would be perfectly okay if they went to a tag system for bowfishing gator gar.

I'm for it if it saves them for my grandkids to enjoy.

Nothing wrong with taking one every once in awhile. The hootleheads that want to fill up the boat and then throw them away are messing it up for everyone.

I would be perfectly okay if there were a lot less gar and carp in the rivers and lakes. I would also be okay if the idiots who leave them at the boat ramp didn't.

You get one alligator gar per day. Who cares how you kill it??

These guys that catch big gar on a hook and line are killing them as well. Many times they let the gar swallow the bait injuring it internally so they can get a good hook up then on top of that stressing them out. Might as well shoot it with a bow. Of coarse it should be regulated to an extent to keep the population healthy but carp should be shot on sight.

I agree with you on the carp. I know some folks make a living guiding for gator gar, but it seems pretty obvious numbers are declining rapidly. Something has to change.

Agreed. I know that some people do let them get a deep hook set intentionally when pole fishing, but the numbers that are killed have to be far less.

Show me proof the numbers of gar are declining rapidly.

I hopr they dont stop the gar fishing. I like eating gar. Fun fish to catch as well.

I was unaware that there was a shortage of Alligator Gar.

There is no shortage of Alligator gar but there is no shortage of people that hate bowfishing.
